Spinnaker Tower – Must See In Hampshire
When you talk about Hampshire attractions, you cannot miss out the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. This is the landmark tower that ranks high among the tourists for being one of the best things that Hampshire has to offer. This 170 metre high tower is the most attractive centrepiece of the redeveloped Portsmouth Harbour.
Portsmouth’s residents were the ones who chose the famous shape of the tower from a selection of designs presented to them. Being visually similar with a sail, this is the iconic tower reflecting the maritime history of Portsmouth. After years and years of cost overruns and delay, the tower was finally opened on October 18th, 2005.
